DSLR: Getting Pro on EXPOSURE

There is no right or wrong exposure setting in our camera. The most important thing is what kind of look or finishing that we desire to archived. Exposure setting is the most import thing that we should know. Guys, cannot be hantam karma saja aarr...!! Especially when facing under the sun or over expose light. Every photographer should learn & know, how to manipulate the exposure otherwise we'll lose much details (noise result) by choosing the wrong setting of exposure.

The 4 keys thing always have to bare in mind is:

1st thing to do is discover the environment, weather is darker or brighter to decide ISO setting before shooting is:

ISO: Sensitivity toward LIGHT (available from 100-6400)
The more higher number ISO setting we choose, is the more sensitive toward light.

• Higher ISO setting (getting more noise & LESS details) but SHORT shooting time@bright place.
• Lower ISO setting (getting sharp & MORE details) but LONG shooting time@dark place

Meaning: The darker place required more sensitive LIGHT

How to read ISO? 

Rarely we will change our ISO setting unless we losing the brighter part out of sudden

Second things to decide is weather to use SHUTTER or APERTURE setting. This 2 setting will automatic working together to give the best setting. Just choose which one more priority for us.

How to read APERTURE?

Tips: 

• When the camera have not enough light to supply, change the ISO setting. 
• There's situation sometime we can't focus at the subject by choosing this A mode, change the focus lens to M (manual) instead of  regular used on A (auto)

OR

SHUTTER Speed: Reflected light (pantulan cahaya yg diterima oleh lens)
When we try shoot at the darker place or subject automatically SHUTTER reading will be decrease. Same case happen when we try shoot at the bright place, reading will increase.

Meaning: More light required to get more details on photo that we shoot

How to read SHUTTER SPEED?

Tips: This reading are very useful to get every details on every picture that we shoot. Focusing our lens at the dark to the bright place. From that number choose within in the middle of Shutter Speed that we just record and applied to any of mode that we wish to use.

If we not happy with the result of previous setting  (A mode / P mode) go to this:
MANUAL (M mode): Then we can control both function according to our own desire setting. This is old school way similar like using old camera with negative film (everything is manual setting)

How to get better setting on M mode?
1. Set APERTURE: Press -/+ button (hold) & Command Dial (to control light sensitivity)
2. Make sure the BAR read is set to the middle to get balance colour at (80%) on our photo view. Unless we like change the exposure weather to UNDER/ OVER exposure.

Tips: If we try doing a focusing to different colour at the surrounding us, the camera will read at different Shutter Speed as well this is because our camera is color blind. They can't capture for very bright or very dark.
