No matter what kind of DSLR camera you have, this is the most important part when using any DSLR camera. Make sure we know how to choose the right setting at the right place on the right time.
PROGRAMMED AUTO (P) mode: Auto setting for SHUTTER & APERTURE
Flexible control / adjustment for:
SHUTTER SPEED (S) mode : Shutter Speed Priority
Best used for moving object / Outdoor / Indoor (When is low light & no flash allowed)
All MODE is for LENS setting & work together with AF-area mode & Metering (Matrix metering) setting on the camera.
Metering: information edit (button) > Metering (Exposure Meter)

We can use the Main Command Dial to adjust the aperture & shutter suit to our needs.
Best used for moving object / Outdoor / Indoor (When is low light & no flash allowed)
1. 1/5000 Shutter Speed setting (best used 4 FREEZE the motion subject)
2. 1/60 Shutter Speed setting (best used to avoid shaking photo)
Must working together with ISO setting (also depending with Lens type that we have):
1. Outdoor : Lower ISO
2. Indoor : Higher ISO
Tips: Check the focal length of the lens & shutter speed so it is as fraction (or reciprocal) of the setting.
Play more with LENS adjustment + APERTURE setting: 70% potographer fequent use this mode
Tips: The Depth of Field (Blur) result is depending on type of Focal Length as well. More Higher / longer lens is getting more effect.
MANUAL (M) mode: Best used at Over / Under the sun / Both
Fully control manual setting for SHUTTER SPEED & APERTURE according to our desire photo result by using Command Dial to control (Under / Over exposure)
Tips: By selecting this option, change the lens setting to M (manual focusing) better control on focusing subject.
Must working together with ISO setting (also depending with Lens type that we have):
1. Outdoor : Lower ISO
2. Indoor : Higher ISO

APERTURE (A) mode: Depth of Field (by METERING setting) - Portrait / Macro / Nature Play more with LENS adjustment + APERTURE setting: 70% potographer fequent use this mode
- 55mm lens + F5.6 Aperture : Near view depth of field
- 55mm lens + F18 / 22 Aperture:Light depth of field
- 18mm lens + F3.5 Aperture : Far view depth of field
Tips: The Depth of Field (Blur) result is depending on type of Focal Length as well. More Higher / longer lens is getting more effect.
- F5 Aperture (best used for portrait)
- F10++ Aperture (best used for event, wedding, festival)
